MEET OUR CASE STUDIES

Osteria – Tweed Coast

On the outside looks like a restaurant, on the inside a different story unfolds. General Manager, Mark Wilson says “we have a very close relationship with Calder Fine Foods working together to help them develop their business. We do this by assisting with product development and they are planting specific crops just for us. It makes sense to support local and have the best produce available. Helping others grow whilst making our products standout is a no brainer”.

Simply Clean – Lismore

Huw Jones created a range of earth safe and body-safe cleaning products using native Australian essential oils. They connected with Australia Lemon Myrtle Products at The Channon to source their oil. Huw says “we are very lucky to have one of the best lemon myrtle growing areas in the country on our doorstep”. Simply Clean Homes also sources many of their product bottles from Ant Packaging in Bangalow because they are  local and the quality is
excellent.

Gateway Fine Foods – Kyogle

Debbie has teamed up with the crew at Barefoot Farm, a local Eltham producer with both a pecan orchard and restaurant. “They provide us with pecan products including dukkha, chocolate coated pecans and maple roasted pecans. They have such great quality and with low food miles. We have been to their farm many times, love what they are doing and we connect with their philosophies about fresh”.

Mount Warning Tours – Murwillumbah

As a company they source “bush foods (native finger limes) from Tweed Fruit Exchange (Tweed Fruit Exchange sources these from a farm at North Tumbulgum); they also buy from the Murwillumbah Farmers Market, local seafood suppliers and stock Local Husk Rum and Ink Gin from Tumbulgum to ensure their tour guests have a true local experience.
